“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4 NIV).
The life of a Christian is not an easy life.
Here we are told to count every trial we go through as pure joy.
When we go through a trial, trusting in God, we become stronger and wiser.
It’s in the trials of life that God does his perfect work in us.
God changes us from the inside out.
God is never in a hurry. It’s in the trials of life that He refines us.
Jesus knows how much we can endure at one time, so He never tests us beyond what we can endure.
It’s in this process that he cleanses us, purifies us, strengthens us and prepares us for service.
So when trials come, rejoice because every trial is an opportunity for growth.
To those who overcome and persevere through the trials of life there is great reward either in this life or the next.
