Congratulations to all who took part in the Ladies Championships.
The course was in beautiful condition, thanks to Peter and his band of helpers.
Kellie White had a handy lead going into the final day, taking out the Open and A grade division with scores of 88, 82, 95 for a total 265.
Kaye Sutton followed with 97,88, 94 for a total 279 and Joanne Dean with 94, 91 97 and total score 282.
In B grade, Gay Henderson was the winner for the second year running with rounds of 92, 89, 97 with a total 278. She was followed by Sue Simpson with 97, 94, 100 and total 291. Deborah Pyke had rounds of 95, 98, 102 and total score 295.
Janet Delmenico had a convincing win in C grade with rounds of 91, 99, 95 and finishing with 285, followed by Marian Ayres with 100, 103, 103 and a total of 306 and Anne Harding with 98, 105, 104 and a 307 total.
Kim McCaw just held on to her lead in D grade with scores of 118, 109, 118 and a total of 345 to edge out Linda Rendell with rounds of 123, 114 and 112 for 349.
Finley Ladies Golf, sponsored by G C & J C McPhee, was a stroke event.
Net winner was Janet Delmenico 95 (25) 70; runner up Annie Wood 101 (29) 72; scratch ball Kaye Sutton 94; putting Linda Rendell 28 putts on countback; ball winners Linda Rendell 75 net, Marian Ayres, Mary Polkinghorne, Sharon Pyle and Kaye Sutton all 76 net.

It was Alan Hand who stepped up with 37 stableford points at Wednesday’s Con Carr Betta Home Living Men’s Competition to claim the voucher. NTP on the 18th also went to Alan Hand.
Ball competition winners were Martin Cruickshank (36), and Rob Klemke and Paul Pinnuck who each had 35 points. The Matt Daniel NAGA trophy was collected by Clive Fossey (Berrigan).
After a three way count back Ryan Donkin, with 18 points, claimed the voucher when stableford was played at the nine hole competition on Thursday. Balls went to Chick Braybon (18) and Peter Orro (18).
On Friday the Berriquin Funerals Stableford event was played and it was Alan Hand on 40 stableford points who took the men’s trophy and Sue Simpson with 39 points was the ladies’ winner.
NTP on the 18th went to Colin McNamara. Ball competition winners were Chick Braybon (36), Paul Pinnuck (35), Rand Wilson (35), and Heather Daniel (28). NAGA trophies went to Barry Wonwood and Toni Kliderry (Tooleybuc).
With a good field of locals and visitors, Berriquin Funerals were back again for the 4BBB Stableford event on Saturday when Sel Corcoran and Damien Angove (The Grange SA) claimed the trophy with 47 points.
Norm Pyle and Grant Shaw, with 45 points, were runners up. Ladies winners were Joanne Dean and Linda Rendell with 45 points.
NTP on the 18th was Leo McNamara. Ball competition winners were Barry Wilson and Ian Swain (Tas) (44), Beau Makkinga and Rand Wilson (42), Enid Bain and Kim Lawlor (42), Gay Henderson and Sue Simpson (41), and Eric Dean and Alan Hand also with 41.
Ladies were conspicuous by their absence at the PA & JL Scott Stroke Event on Sunday, however it was Sel Corcoran with 66 net who took the men’s trophy.
NTP on the 18th was Leo McNamara. Ball competition winners were Bob Newton (Korumburra) (71), Marty Piggin, Damien Angove (The Grange SA), Rand Wilson and Kevin Tengstrom all with 72 Net.
The weekend finished off on Monday with the Signal Energy Mixed 2 Person Stableford Aggregate Event.
It was Doug Smith and Mary Polkinghorne with 69 points who claimed the winner’s trophy after countback from Trevor and Kim McCaw on 68 points.
Kellie White was NTP on the 13th, and on the 18th it was Doug Smith. Ball competition winners were Dave Cordell and Janet Delmenico (66), Rob and Kath Klemke (66), and Leo McNamara and Kellie White also on 66.
In the PWP section, Alan Hand claimed the voucher with 37 stableford points.
There will be ladies and men’s competitions on Wednesday, V-Par will be played on Thursday and at the weekend rounds three and four of the Men’s Championships will be played on Saturday and Sunday.

Donovan Lee from Commonwealth GC shot a great score of nine under on Sunday. Donovan has been here from Singapore since October and in three weeks he has to leave to be back in Singapore for military service.
Tuesday last week saw 44 ladies playing stableford with Division One going to Kerry Conrad with 36 points on countback from Nola Stacey.
Jan Taylor was the Division Two winner with 37 points followed by Shirley Desailly with 36.
Division Three went to Nat Beard with 36 points with runner up taken by Eileen McGill 35.
NTPs went to Petra Wilmot 2nd, Gayle Edwards Pro Pin $45.
Wednesday saw 63 men playing stableford from the white markers with Division One going to Kevin Clark with 40 points followed by John Thompson 39.
Terry McMahon was the Division Two winner with 41 points followed by Joe Sacco 36.
Neville Attrill was the Division Three winner with 43 points, runner up went to Leonard Redfern 38.
NTPs went to Jordon Geisler 2nd, Ross Sidebottom 17th. Men’s Gold winner was Ronald Eaton with 40 points followed by Graeme Sharp with 30.
Friday was the first of our Easter Tournament with 100 ladies playing stableford with Division One going to Linda Winterborn with 38 points followed by Margaret Whitmore on 37.
Division Two went to Barb Chapell with 42 points, runner up was Francis Joy with 38.
Leanne McIntyre was the Division Three winner with 43 points followed by Lauris Weegberg on 38.
NTPs went to Dale Palun 2nd, Jenny Bauerle 17th.
We had 150 men playing stableford on Friday with Division One going to Stephen Naughton with 40 points on c/back from Darren Tyrrell.
Division Two was won by Simon Mullumby with 40 points, runner up was Philip Tribolet on 39.
Division Three was won by John Ingram with 38, followed by Alan Herbert on 38. NTP went to Ian Martin 2nd.
Saturday was Mixed 4BBB Par Comp 2 with John and Carol Muir taking the win with 10 up. Second was Lance and Leah Boyd 9 up, third was David Fell and Weka Tarr with 8 up.
Mixed 4BBB Par Comp 3 went to D & T Tyrrell with 11 up, second was S & G White with 10 up on c/back from D & F Booth.
On Sunday we had ladies and men’s stroke with ladies Division One won by Kim Morris with 77.
Net winners were Cheryl Stockdale and Margaret Whitmore with 71, Division Two winner was Enid Bain 90, net winners were Sandra Marshall 72, Janeasce Owen 73.
Division Three winner was Lisa Robinson 104, net winners were Rita Gazzola 73, Caitlin Doble 74.
Men’s Stroke Division One Gross was won by Donovan Lee (Commonwealth GC) with a great score of 64 (nine under) and net winners were Anthony Clement 68, Darren Tyrrell 69.
Division Three Gross went to Graeme Rowney 95. Net winners were Jeffrey Innes 70, Russell Dower 74.
Monday was 4BBB Stableford for the last day of the tournament with ladies win going to Dale Palun and Susan Staddon 45 on c/back from Glenda Clarke and Margaret Labb.
Mens 4BBB winners were Peter Elvey and Darren Duckworth 45 on c/back from Ray Watmore and Terry Mullins.
