The meeting room at the 4Rs was suitably decorated, Christmas fare was enjoyed for morning tea and members donned their festive costumes.
There was joy in the air.
Along with the 60 regular members, there were 11 visitors welcomed at the meeting.
Visitors are welcome to attend three meetings, including outings, before deciding if Probus is suitable for them.
Among the visitors, the group welcomed back Rhonda Hynes, who was an active Probian before her departure from the district.
Rhonda happily caught up with her old acquaintances, including three visitors from Elmore, each wearing their Christmas aprons.

At each meeting, a guest speaker attends, keeping members abreast with what is happening in the district.
This month’s guest speaker was local pharmacist, Brett Phillips.
Brett gave the group a rundown on what was happening in the medical world and the vaccination program he offers.
There was opportunity for Brett to answer the many questions posed by members.
In an endeavour to learn more about one another, a regular segment offered is ‘Behind the Probian’, where members are invited to present a brief presentation on their life.
This month, Bruce Weeks gave the group an articulate and interesting insight into his life, particularly his extensive involvement in cropping and tomato growing.

After the monthly meeting, members head out to enjoy more socialising over lunch.
This month, members headed to Moama Bowling Club.
Next month, lunch will be enjoyed somewhere in Rochester, as we try to support local businesses each alternate month.
Probus meets on the first Monday of the month at 10am at the Rochester Racecourse Recreation Reserve.
