Flowers were beautiful, and organisers were grateful for all the amazing helpers, without whose assistance the show couldn’t go on.
Special thanks to judges, stewards, stallholders, and the great team of workers in the kitchen, and to individuals who submitted entries in various sections.
Pre-schoolers and students from both primary schools entertained the crowd with their delightful performances and the colourful artwork which decorated the stage.

Most Successful exhibitor was Roy Chaplin (who also won the Champion Rose).
Perpetual Trophy for arrangement of roses was won by Heather Thomas.
Winners of the various raffles were: Fruit & vegies Tania Roe; Christmas cake, Nancy Bryce; Sticky Fingers, Neila Price; Cake stall, Rose Stevens and Lyn Baker; Most Popular Teapot, Catherine Browning.

Winners of the Jerilderie Tidy Towns gardens judging were also announced at the Flower show, with Geoff and Sues Shaw winning the best new garden.
Most colourful garden saw a tie, with Pat Godfrey and Gwen McLaughlin sharing the honours.
Overall best garden was Annette Kelly, who was delighted to be chosen from among a great selection of choices.
Congratulations to this year’s winners, and to all the local gardeners who keep their gardens looking lovely to make our town an attractive place.

Jerilderie Red Cross members thank everyone who participated in their Big Cake Bake and raffle day held recently.
The raffle will be drawn on December 6, with first prize one night’s accommodation, plus $200 for meals, at the Whitton Malt House, and second prize is a Christmas hamper.
Red Cross will be holding another raffle stall on Friday November 10.

Finley High School P & C, is selling tickets in its major fund-raising raffle, with first prize from Deni World Travel, second from the local IGA, and third is a Yeti pack.
Tickets are $10 each and are available from the school, Jerilderie Newsagency, and the Finley Country Club.

The Jerilderie Football Club and the Jerilderie Netball Club are holding an information session at the Monash Park tearooms tomorrow (Thursday November 2) at 7pm to discuss the proposed amalgamation of the two clubs.

Entries close on Friday (November 3) at 4pm for the Sir John Monash Education Bursary 2023, value $2000.
An essay of at least 1000 words is required, based on a quote from Sir John Monash: “Depend upon it, the only hope for Australia is the ballot box and an educated electorate”.
The question being asked is ‘Do you believe that some 90 years later an educated electorate has been the cause for several upheavals being experienced, not only in Australian politics, but politics worldwide?’

The successful applicant will be announced at the Remembrance Day service at the Jerilderie Cenotaph on Saturday November 11.

You are invited to the unveiling of murals and the launch of Jerilderie Intergenerational Stories developed by Jerilderie Public School students in collaboration with Mrs Robyne Sneddon and Mrs Ros Lockhart.
This will take place at the Jerilderie Library on Thursday November 16, at 12.45pm for a 1pm start, with RSVPs to bronwyn@petaurus.net.au by Tuesday November 7.
