Great time reminiscing for class of 1989 at Cobram High School reunion

The Cobram High School class of 1989 held a 35-year reunion on Saturday, February 17 at the Gasworks Bar and Kitchen.

The evening was hosted by Tony Fazzolari, who owns Cobram Gasworks Bar and Kitchen, and was attended by about 60 students, some of whom travelled from Brisbane, and even Scotland, to attend.

Former Cobram High School teacher and year advisor Hugh Crapp gave a speech which congratulated the group on staying connected and making the effort to come together.

Mr Crapp described the cohort as extraordinary and said he had enjoyed his role being both a mentor and advocate immensely since starting with the students in Year 8 in 1985.

Mr Crapp said many of the former students attributed their success to their time at Cobram High School.

Mr Crapp said it was an excellent event.

“The atmosphere was very happy and friendly,” he said.

“It was certainly good to see everyone. The former students are a wonderful group of people.”
