An early injury to defender Leah Nish saw the Bloods switching positions to compensate in their first semi final match against Strathmerton at Mathoura on Saturday.
Tocumwal struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to match the consistent performance of their opponents ending their five-year run of grand final appearances.

The Bloods Under 17s were also unsuccessful, coming up against Picola in the second semi final at Yarroweyah on Sunday.
Defenders Sophi Bury and Rose Chamberlain were consistent all game, with Alex Hatty a standout in WD in the final quarter.
With scores remaining tight all game, the Bloods' intensity dropped enough in the final quarter which saw Picola take a three goal lead and the win.
Final score, Picola 45 to Tocumwal 42.
Tocumwal's Under 15s will continue their finals journey after a solid win over Katamatite on Sunday.
Scores remained close for the first two quarters, with Tocumwal heading into the third with a three goal lead.
The young Bloods managed to surge ahead to stretch it out to a nine goal margin heading into the fourth.
Consistent shooting from goalers Skyla Griffin and Abby O’Connell aided immensely with smart, accurate passes into the ring from Asha Campbell saw Tocumwal increase their lead.
Final score: Tocumwal 41 to Katamatite 29.

The Under 15s will now take on Rennie in a preliminary final at Strathmerton on Saturday.
The Under 13s Bloods will also return to action after earning the week off and will travel to Deniliquin for their meet-up with the young Hoppers.
