CWA hosts lifesaving training

The Jerilderie Branch of CWA’s first CPR information day was such a success, it hopes to make it an annual event.

The group organised the training in an effort to educate local volunteers and school children.

Branch secretary Wendy Hurd said the training was facilitated by Jerilderie Ambulance NSW paramedics, with support from trained CWA members in case the paramedics were needed in the community.

“The day was well attended by CWA Jerilderie and Murray Hut, the Jerilderie Men's Shed, members of the community and Jerilderie Public School primary students,” Mrs Hurd said.

“We are very grateful to the New South Wales Ambulance Service for their assistance and support in providing training to us, the training models and for attending once their real work was done.”
