The meeting will be at the Sports Club at 7pm.
It is vital that parents of children aged between 6 and 11, who are interested in participating in the Junior Blasters Cricket program, attend.
The club is also looking for a volunteer to run this six week program.

Local people were saddened to learn of the recent death of Barbara Hines, who was a well known, loved, and respected figure in Jerilderie.
Sympathy is extended to Barb’s family and friends.

Members of the Jerilderie Hospital Auxiliary met on Thursday for their second last meeting for the year.
The next meeting will be a pre-Christmas luncheon get together and meeting on Thursday, November 23, at a venue yet to be confirmed. Save the date.

Nearly 20 people attended the interesting, informative and somewhat daunting meeting at the Jerilderie library last Thursday, at which a representative from the NBN gave helpful advice on how to avoid being scammed, and what to do if you are.

Jerilderie library continues to host the 2023 School Holiday programme.
Today’s session is family friendly board games, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
A youth movie will be screened this Friday, October 6 at 10am.
A seniors’ movie will be held the same day, at 1pm.

Murrumbidgee Council will be providing a day out in Griffith tomorrow for some of the local young people (aged 12 to 24).
Funds have been provided through Government NSW.
Food and drink are provided. Bus pick up and drop off will be provided in Jerilderie, Coleambally and Darlington Point.

The Jerilderie Portsea Camp Committee is seeking children interested in participating in the 2024 Portsea camp.
Children in the Murrumbidgee Council area, aged between eight and 12 years, are eligible for the subsidised program.
The camp will be held from January 15-19 and 30 places have been allocated to the Jerilderie group.
A deposit of $200 with enrolment application is required by November 3, with the balance to be paid by December 8.

Jerilderie Public School’s Kinder transition program will begin each Thursday from October 12 to November 16.
Times are: 9.10am to 11.10am on October 12 and 19, 9.10am to 12.30pm on October 26 and November 2, and 9.10am to 3.10pm on November 9 and November 16.

Murrumbidgee Council is inviting applications for the Sir John Monash Education Bursary 2023, valued at $2000.
Applicants are asked to submit an essay of at least 1000 words, based on the subject: ‘Depend upon it, the only hope for Australia is the ballot box and an educated electorate’.
Entries close on Friday, November 3, at 4pm.
Entry is open to residents of Murrumbidgee Council who are considering entering post-secondary education through university, college, or TAFE, or an approved course of formal training with a registered training organisation.
