There was a huge variety of beautiful cakes, biscuits, slices and, of course, scones provided with jam and cream.
Also, there were plenty of other saleable items including plants for the garden.
The raffle prizes were well sought after. The lucky winner of the pamper hamper was Julie Congram, and Elsinore Harris was thrilled to receive the beauty/tote bag.
Following the time spent at the street stall, members of the auxiliary gathered at Finley Regional Care facility to provide beautiful flower arrangements to celebrate Mother’s Day for the residents.

Finley High School principal Jeff Ward played host to Finley’s St Mary’s Parish Priest Father Prasanth recently, where he enjoyed afternoon tea and a tour of the school.
The tour included many subjects including wood work and art and finished up with the Year 7 students who have been engaging in a topic about forces in science.
They were shown a demonstration of the Van de Graaff generator. As the handle is cranked, static electricity builds up, travelling through all objects in contact with it. When it is discharged, it leads to some shocking results!
The Year 7 students invited Jeff and Fr Prasanth to interact by holding hands to feel the connecting shock.
Fr Prasanth thanked Jeff for the opportunity to visit the school and meet with the students.
