The pavilion only show was organised to replace the traditional Father’s Day show, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
More than 200 people passed through the pavilion on Sunday to see the art, handicraft, photography, baking, flowers and plants on display.
Attendees were able to treat themselves to icecream, coffee, pizzas and hotdogs.
While the pavilion was not as full as on a traditional show day, the committee was pleased to have pushed ahead with hosting the event.
The committee thanked the judges, stewards, volunteers and the community for their support, and said planning for a traditional show for 2022 will begin soon.
Pavilion Results
Jaidyn White’s skills with Lego won him the most coveted award at the Finley Show Society’s pavilion only show on Sunday.
After claiming the Most Creative Piece of Lego honour, with success in the original and kit design Lego sections for the 10 to 13 year-old age groups, young Jaidyn went on to be named the recipient of the Joyce Yeo Memorial Pavilion Award For Most Outstanding Exhibit.
Jaidyn also entered the cookery section of the pavilion, winning one first prize with his novelty cake — obviously showing he has a creative side.
Second place in the Joyce Yeo Memorial Pavilion Award For Most Outstanding Exhibit went to Susan Mackintosh, who was the Most Successful Exhibitor in the Needlework & Handicraft section.
