The Cats continued their top order dominance to extend their winning streak to three with an away win against Tocumwal on Saturday.
Finley won the toss and elected to bat first on the Tocumwal Recreation Reserve pitch, shaking up the top order with Adnan Malik making a reinsertion into the opening pair.
Fortunately for the Bloods, the change didn't make a dent in the Finley scorecard with Malik (0) falling in just a matter of balls.
In-form batsman Russell Anderson (60 not out) got off to a nervous start before settling in to his innings with Ben Spence (50) moved up the order into first drop.
Spence stepped into the role with confidence as the pair put on a solid 105 run partnership together.
He was the first to fall moments after raising his bat for his maiden half century for the club.
Sitting 2/106 in the latter half of the innings, captain Murray Urquhart came in to inflict further damage.
This however, was to no avail as the captain was sent packing after just two balls from a sharp LBW shout off the bowling of Robert Owen (2/29 off eight).
Paul Massingham (30) and Anderson put on a quick 46 run partnership that led to last week's opener Matthew Wilson (12) coming in for the final overs to set the Cats up in a winning position, 4/168 off 40 overs.
With both opening bowlers Darcy Webb and Bailey Coombs out for the Cats, captain Urquhart opted to mix up the bowling.
Openers Anthony King (1/17 off eight) and spinner Malik (2/28 off eight) got the Cats off to a good start taking the top three batsman for 47 runs.
The Bloods opening man Brandon Meloury (21) offering some resilience to the spin/pace attack.
Strength in the middle order from Rodney Booth (14), David Clarke (10) and John Grayson (30) proved a tough challenge for the Cats to dig in to the tail end.
Massingham (3/23 off eight) and Urquhart (2/20 off four) doing the damage to the middle order.
Young gun Archie Mason (2/13 off three) bowling his ripping off-spinners finished off the bottom order, Bloods all out for 131.
The Cats have jumped in to the second spot on the ladder bringing up a top of the table clash between Deniliquin and Finley this weekend in Finley.
A bottom of the ladder clash for the last round will feature the Bloods playing at home against Nathalia on Saturday.
