Kyabram’s Andrew Flenley, winner of the 2023 Best Local Film award, lauded the festival.
“I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible team at Benalla Shorts,” Mr Flenley said.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for local, national and international filmmakers to get their films presented in front of an audience.”
He said attending the event where all the films were screened was a great experience.
“It’s welcoming, kind, and overall an amazing night for all who attend,” he said.
Krista Vendy, of Neighbours fame, will be returning to the judging panel.
The festival is set to take place on November 10 at the newly minted Benalla Cinema on Mair St.
The event continues to foster strong ties with local businesses and community groups.
