Auxiliary donates equipment to hospital

Don’t forget to go along to the official opening of the Jerilderie Early Learning Centre this morning at 11am.

It is understood that some of the children will be cutting the ribbon!

Jerilderie Hospital Auxiliary held its June meeting last Thursday, with 10 members attending and one new member welcomed to the ranks.

The auxiliary recently provided more than $10,000 worth of equipment for the hospital, in the form of a lifter and an air cell chair bed.

Upcoming events to keep the ball rolling and to raise money for the local hospital are a raffle stall in September, and a golf day in October.

Year 5/6 students from Jerilderie Public School enjoyed an excursion to the Australian Capital last week, with fellow students from Blighty, Bunaloo, Conargo and Mayrung.

They were well looked after by Miss Tylira Miller-Crispe, Year 4/6 teacher, and Miss Tiffany Sutton.

After a debutante ball hiatus in Jerilderie in the last few years, young 16, 17 and 18 year-olds from Jerilderie and surrounding towns are invited to register for a return debutante ball in 2023.

It will be run by the St Joseph’s Jerilderie P&F Committee.
