Formerly known as the Vulnerability Research Grant, the HOME Grant reflects a broader focus on advancing equity and identifying practical solutions to community challenges.
AusNet executive general manager of compliance, risk and corporate affairs Amanda Robertson said the grant would support ideas that created meaningful, real-world change.
“We're looking for ideas that respond to community needs and offer practical solutions that make a genuine difference in people’s lives,” Ms Robertson said.
“The HOME Grant is an opportunity to explore new ideas, deepen our understanding of customer needs and help shape a more inclusive energy future.”
Previous recipients have tackled some of Victoria’s energy equity challenges, including energy upgrades for rental properties, inclusive communications, support for older Victorians navigating the energy transition and improved electricity services for people with disability.
Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that identify barriers faced by customers, generate insights to better understand customer needs, improve service delivery and advance knowledge in supporting customers.
Applications close Sunday, November 1.
