Among many notable performers for the Murray Bombers was Sam Reid, who delivered a scintillating performance to be named the GVL Data player of the round.
The former AFL player notched 25 disposals at a tidy 76 per cent, nine of which were contested, as he led his side to its ninth consecutive win to sit undefeated on top of the ladder at the halfway point of the season.
The Echuca co-coach also gathered six clearances, however his most impressive figure was hands down the 17 tackles he recorded, five more than any other player in the league managed during round nine.
His impact was also felt on the scoreboard as he kicked two goals and had four score involvements to go with his six inside-50s.
Capping off what was a truly all-round performance, the midfielder also recorded a solitary hit-out, proving he can get the job done in any area of the ground.
The latest match in what has been a season full of outstanding performances from Reid earned the Murray Bombers star 180 ranking points, taking his season tally to 1201 points — the second highest total in the competition.
