The Saints came out firing against the Bombers with a point to prove after losing last week.
Berrigan’s shooters worked well together, shooting beautifully and defenders pressure was fantastic, really making Waaia work for their goals.
Midcourt players moved the ball effectively with strong possessions and getting some really good hands to balls.

Berrigan’s B grade were handed a one goal loss in warm conditions against Waaia.
The Saints gave the visitors a nine goal head start at first break and were still looking for some answers at half time reducing the margin by one to be eight goals down for the main break.
Some crucial changes by Nat Ferguson got the Saints firing, the defensive end kicked into gear as did the shooters.
The Saints held the Bombers in goal for goal exchanges in the dying minutes, but unfortunately the damage was done, with Waaia getting a late goal to secure the win.
Final score, Waaia 34 to Berrigan 33.

C grade had another impressive win this week against Waaia.
The game was very quick to take off in the Saints favour with crucial turnovers made early in the first quarter.
Defensive pressure was immense the entire game and both shooters worked hard for each goal and rebound. .

Berrigan’s C reserve brought home their first win of the season.
All players worked hard, with amazing defensive pressure causing vital turnovers in the midcourt which were capitalised on.
Defence grabbed every rebound they could and worked to bring the ball back to the shooters. Impressive development from last week from each and every player.

The Under 15s Saints are improving each week but couldn’t get the win on Saturday.

Nothing could split the U13s Saints and Bombers, with scores level at the final whistle.
A fantastic game from the Saints’ defence through to centre court along with clever passing into the ring, a credit to the whole team.
Coming from behind throughout the whole game Berrigan were impressive to come away with a draw.
