Toc. defeated the nine other schools in the zone for overall honours, as well as placing second in the race for the handicap trophy.
A team of 23 TPS students competed in all events, after placing first or second in their school carnival, as well as coming under a set qualifying time.
As an indicator of the depth of their team, three TPS students were named individual age champions. They were as follows:
Junior boy – Heath Mansell, Junior girl – Molly-Mae Ruigrok and 11 year old boy – Logan White, with the latter capping off a successful carnival by breaking two records.
Principal Darren White said he was immensely proud of the way in which the TPS students competed at the carnival.
‘‘They supported each other all day and continue to demonstrate the benefit of intensive swimming lessons as well as the outside training that students do in their own time. Congratulations to all the TPS swimmers,’’ he said.
