Biralee Preschool operates during school terms providing a high quality, educational, play-based learning program focusing on school readiness for children from three to five years.
Biralee OOSH provides a high quality after school care program from 3pm to 6pm.
It also hosts a vacation care program during the school holidays, from 8am to 6pm weekdays.
Biralee Preschool and OOSH aim to provide an environment which allows each child to develop and enhance self-expression and effective communication, as well as developing positive attitudes towards themselves and others.
Each child is treated as an individual and every effort is made to develop their full potential in physical, social, emotional and cognitive areas.
Biralee goes ‘‘above and beyond’’ with its educational program, which is on offer for the students and families at Biralee Preschool and OOSH.
Biralee educators are continually reflecting on their pedagogy, and coming up with innovative programs and learning for the children in their care.
Educator Julie Robinson has been a driving force for the implementation of the Biralee Bush Kinder program.
This is where the children go out to the ‘bush’ at the Retreat Hall once a week to experience learning in the natural environment.
The children climb trees, build forts, make fires and cook their own lunch.
The interacting with the elderly program (KITE) is another amazing program forming part of the Biralee Preschool curriculum.
The preschool children attend Finley Regional Care once a week to participate in intergenerational activities with the residents.
Biralee Preschool and OOSH are now taking enrolments for 2020 preschool year. For more information, contact Biralee on 58831609.
