Constance Brazenor was the beloved wife of William (Bill) (dec); devoted mother of Clare and Rodel, Richard, Adele, David and Zoe, and Patrick and Leslie; adoring grandmother of Liam, Emily, Olivia, Penelope, Xavier, and Claudia; and cherished daughter of Lois and Dr James Walker (dec), and loving sister of Brian, David, Ted (dec), Kate,
Peter, Stephen, Mary, and Helen.
Constance spent her early years in Ballarat and was educated at Loreto Mary’s Mount (Class of 1967).
A proud 1971 Midwifery graduate of the Royal Women’s Hospital, Constance built a long and respected nursing career spanning more than 45 years, primarily in Melbourne, with several years also spent nursing in London. She was known for her skill, compassion, and care for
the wellbeing of others.
Constance lived with curiosity and joy. She had a love of travel and delighted in cycling adventures across Europe with Bill, as well as camping trips throughout Victoria. Constance was actively involved in the North Melbourne and Kensington community through her participation in a choir, book group, sewing group, and more than
50 years of living in the area.
Constance brought generosity, warmth, and kindness to every community she touched. She lived a full and happy life and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff at the Peter MacCallum Hospital, Royal Park Medical, and Mercy Palliative Care for their outstanding care and support.
