Passed away peacefully at St Catherine’s Aged Care, Balwyn

on August 24, 2026.

Aged 102 years

Much loved member of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan.

Loved daughter of Tiger (James) and Annie, nee McGuire (both deceased).

Loved sister of Bridget sgs, James, Patrick, John, Joseph, Michael, Mary Ellen sgs and Desmond (all dec), and a loved sister in law, aunt and great aunt.

Helen was a teacher and principal in Queensland, NSW, SA, ACT and Victoria, before retiring into volunteer roles in various parishes, aged care facilities and food kitchens in around Melbourne. Helen’s long and joyful life was sustained by her community, family and a great devotion to the Geelong Cats. Her kind companionship and gentle listening heart were shared with many families, parishioners and fellow workers. Helen’s joy and hospitality were gifts generously shared.
