Beloved wife of the late John Monk, and cherished mother of Sue, Kate, Paul, Jane, Annie, David, Andrew, Gen and Leonie, passed away peacefully at home on 10th July 2026, surrounded by the love of her family — exactly as she wished.

To the very end she embodied the qualities of gratitude, kindness, and humour, and her ability to make every person who entered her life feel completely welcomed and accepted. Her home was always open, her heart more so.

She leaves behind nine devoted children, their partners, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren — a family she called, with quiet certainty, the best family in the world.

Mum, you were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed beyond words.
