It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elvin Henry Fist at the Launceston General Hospital after a short illness.

Loved, loving and devoted husband of Mary (dec.) and Gay.

Treasured father and father-in-law of Robin and Paul (dec.), Tony and Jane, Neville (dec.) and Cherie. Cherished grandfather and mentor of Rebecca, Simon, Andrew, Mitchell, Emma, Matthew, Nicholas, Timothy, Charles and Catherine.
Proud great grandfather of Annabelle, William, Chester, Elsie, Jack, Henry, Capy (RIP) and Bridget.

Loved stepfather of Mandy, Stephanie and Tim, Kylie and Michael. Much loved “Elvie” of Caitlin, Campbell, Will, Josh, Kirsty, Ebony and Ryan.
Adored step great grandfather of Phillipa, Blake, Lucas, Piper, Stevie-Mae, Henrietta, Cooper and Hunter.

Son of Albert and Elsie Fist (nee Walsh). Brother and brother-in-law of Trevor and June, Stan and Susie, Isabel and David Lewthwaite, Doris (all dec.), Bevin and Gwen (dec.) and Glenis.
Brother-in-law of the Matthews family: Jack (dec.) and Claire, Alan and Aileen (both dec.), Jim (dec.), Eric and Ursula (dec.), Lois and William Badcock (dec.), and Loyd.
Uncle to his many beloved nieces and nephews.

Respected life-long educator and colleague of many.

Elvin’s faith, integrity, kindness and pride in his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
