The Tasmania optometry community mourns the loss of John Rees, a visionary leader and tireless advocate for the field of optometry. As a former President of Optometry. John was instrumental in advancing the profession and improving the eye health of many through his dedication and passion.

John was a beloved colleague and friend to many in the optometry community. His warmth, humour, and kindness will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Condolences go out to his family.
