Young champs head to Dubbo

Joel Mahy and Vala Wate participated in the recent NSW Youth Championships in Dubbo.

Joel Mahy and Vala Wate represented the Coleambally Cricket Club at the NSW Youth Championships in Dubbo last month.

The pair were held in high distinction.

Playing in the Murrumbidgee/Northern Riverina side, both boys played hard over the four 20/20 games.

Wate picked up six wickets with the ball, and Joel got some experience in the next grade up.

Both players will be looking to build on their success for the Coleambally C Grade side when it resumes after the school holiday period.

The C grade side sits third on the ladder, and will be looking to challenge Exies Diggers and Leagues Club Panthers who are equal top.

Griffith District Cricket Association is fielding an under 16s team in the Warren Smith Cup.
