What a beautiful day to play netball.
The whole team executed everything we spoke about pre-game to perfection.
For three quarters of the game, they were level with Mulwala.
The full court defensive pressure was spot on this week and circle edge feeding into the goals was great to see as well.
The whole group play a well composed, disciplined game of netball.
Unfortunately, a couple of errors cost us in the last quarter which gave Mulwala the confidence to run away with the win.
Awards: Sarah Taylor, Leah Blake.

Finley had a hard-fought match against a very well drilled Mulwala side.
Finley had a strong first quarter, going goal-for-goal with Mulwala.
It was great to see Paige Gray back playing a full game in GA, shooting alongside Reene Hulls - a very strong and smart shooting combo.
We went down by four goals at half-time, but that didn’t stop our defence.
Gemma Plattfuss and Charlotte Rafferty were both very determined to create turnovers and opportunities for us to gain a lead.
It was also great to have Cassidy Reynolds come back to Finley and help us out - fitting well into the team alongside Ash Zera and Miranda Taylor in the mid-court.
They were creating space and moving the ball down the court.
Ultimately Mulwala were too strong for Finley, however the girls definitely have lots to be proud of - keeping their heads high and fighting hard to the end.
Awards: Paige Gray, Reene Hulls.

We came up against a very slick Mulwala team, whose passing accuracy saw them take the four points.
There were some great passages of play, but unfortunately mistakes and turnover let us down.
Best on court went to Nicole Hargraves, who had a great game in WA and her run in GA was proof of her flexibility.
The other award went to Shannon Peasley, who was once again strong in defence in both WD and GD
C-reserve: Finley 28 def by Mulwala 34.
We took on a strong Mulwala side, who took the win from us.
But but we never gave up. It was a whole team effort with everyone working overtime to keep up with the opposition.
It was only in the last quarter that saw some ball mistakes that were turned over, which Mulwala converted into goals.
That saw them take the win.
The awards went to our defenders - Stacey Doolan (best on court) and Mandy Fleming (coach’s award) - for their constant and relentless efforts in defence all game.
Under-17s: Finley 36 def Mulwala 33.
It was a game of ups and downs for the Cats this week, with Finley building a lead only for Mulwala to fight their way back each time.
Our shooters combined brilliantly, showing great connection and accuracy under pressure.
In defence, relentless pressure forced multiple turnovers and the team capitalised with strong rebounds.
The mid-court lifted with every quarter, linking the court together and creating some beautiful passages of play.
A hard-fought win that builds great momentum as we head towards finals.
Awards: Addison Clarke, Lilah Brunt.
Under-15s: Finley 33 v Mulwala 33.
What an exciting match.
The first time we played Mulwala we won by one goal, so we knew that it was going to be a close game.
The lead switched hands a few times, but it seemed that Mulwala was about four goals ahead for longer than we would have liked.
It was tight defence, but we were giving the same pressure back.
We managed to get back to even a few times throughout the match, and the girls remained calm and fought back each time Mulwala took the lead.
We were super impressed with the girls’ leadership and communication on the court, to keep their heads up and create important turnovers.
With the nine girls we made consistent rolling subs, and the girls adjusted so well to the changes.
It was such a surprise that we were able to keep up goal-for-goal at the end, to finish on a draw.
The awards went to two team members who remained very calm and composed in the high-pressure moments. Their decision making was wonderful and they listened and implemented the coaches feedback instantly.
Awards: Eloise Harris, Piper Pyle.

Another tough game for the girls, but everyone played their best.
The match-ups were difficult with a lot of tall players on the opposition, however our girls remained determined throughout the whole game and improved from the first time we played Mulwala.
The Purtill Award went to Sienna (surname not provided) who played in multiple positions and got some amazing intercepts.
The Vicki Smith award went to Rori (surname not provided). Her intercepts in defence and long bomb goals were very impressive and of great help to the team.
Under-11s: Not scored.
Our team played the best game they have played all year, against a very skilled Mulwala side.
The plays down the court, the shooting accuracy and defensive pressure reflected the hard work at trainings.
If they keep showing up like they have been, they will become a very strong side for the future.
Awards: Ruby Delmenico, Georgie Coombs.
