Under-17s: Jerilderie 26 def Tungamah 22.

It was a close game and Jerilderie just got over the line and will play the loser of the first quarter final in a semi final. It will be played at the Waaia Recreation Reserve on Saturday, August 26 at 10.25am.

Under-15s: Jerilderie 41 def Picola United 32.

The u-15s won a great game and will now progress to the semi finals. They will play the loser of this weekend’s second quarter final at the Katamatite Recreation Reserve on Sunday, August 27 at 9.20am.

Under-13s: Blighty 16 def Jerilderie 11.

The under-13s were well supported at Tungamah on Sunday when they met Blighty in the elimination final. It was a slow start for Jerilderie with the girls looking a bit overwhelmed by the occasion. They found their feet in the second half but were unable to pull back Blighty’s lead. Stella Williams was outstanding in defence all game and made sure she was always an option to help bring the ball down court to the attacking end. Eliza Godfrey was strong rebounding under the post. Teagan Aylett gave her best for three quarters in centre. Rylee Bell tried hard in WD. Jacinta Eldridge was doing everything she could to get the ball into the goal ring but was well covered by a very tall GD. After a change into C in the last quarter she was able to move around the court with more freedom and that allowed easier access into the ring. Georgia Fealy gave her all in WA, driving hard for the ball and shot accurately in GS in the final quarter. Sama Swaid was determined in the goals and gave it her all for the entire match. Pippa Shaw came on in the final quarter providing instant impact, moving with speed and positioning well around the ring. The girls are to be commended on their positivity, enthusiasm and sportsmanship, never dropping their heads and trying their hardest all game.

Jerilderie under-13s had a great season just losing in the elimination final to Blighty.
