Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club held its annual Burke-Bush Bowls Tournament on September 5.

There was a delayed start due to rain, but the weather eventually cleared for a day of brilliant sunshine and perfect conditions for a great competition.
A total of 78 players converged on Berrigan to contest the title.
The winning team was Col Withers, Les Spencer and Wayne Lowrie, representing Yarrawonga.
A big thank you to everyone for their patience while waiting for the weather to clear, and congratulations to all players who took part in another successful tournament.
The final of the Holey Cup was played at Oaklands on the weekend, bringing to a close a fantastic round-robin competition that has been running over the past few months.
Teams from Oaklands, Berrigan, Finley, Coleambally, Rand and Jerilderie have competed against each other throughout the tournament, with Oaklands ultimately taking out the final on their home turf.
Thank you to each of the participating clubs for hosting and catering for games every fortnight.
Your support and hospitality helped make the competition such a success.
Special thanks go to organiser Rick Bradbury, who did a fantastic job liaising with each club and coordinating the tournament to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Barefoot bowls will start up again on Wednesday, October 7.
You do not need to have experience or bowls to participate.
Individuals are welcome, and will be placed in a team.
Cost is $10 a head, which includes a sausage sizzle dinner.
