The juniors were up first, taking on the course on Wednesday, March 6, with 6-8 and 9-11 age groups competing in either a short- or long-course event.
The 6-8 boys short course was won by Edward Dobeli, while in the 6-8 girls long course, Josephine Gronow emerged victorious.
The 9-11 girls long course was taken out by Lucy O’Neale, and the boys event was won by brother Ned O’Neale.
On March 13 it was the seniors’ turn with 33 club members competing in the 600m swim, 20km bike and 4.5km run.
The overall championship winners were Troy Bauerle and Sarah Mulkearns, with Bauerle successfully defending his title from last year.
In the under-20 category Riley and Emily Wilkinson took out the event while the 20-29 category went to Nick Woods.
Matthew Sullivan and Maddy Clarke were the 30-39 winners and James and Kristy Parker topped the 40-49 division.
Scott Foreman and Jane McMullens were victorious in 50-59 while the 60-69 category was won by Leo and Jackie Welch.
Club secretary and race director Sarah Mulkearns heralded the club championships as a great day for the club as the end of the triathlon season approaches.
“We had great numbers, a beautiful night for racing, and it wasn’t too hot thankfully,” she said.
“The weather had cooled down a little bit, and we had some really fast racing, which was awesome.”
The club held its final ‘Splash and Dash’ on Wednesday, March 20, which marked the culmination of the season-long point score competition.
Winners for the club championships and splash and dash will be recognised, along with other award winners, at the club’s presentation night on Friday, April 19.
The night will also include the awarding of new life memberships for the club.
The presentation will mark the end of the triathlon club’s season for this year, with an AGM to be held in June ahead of preparations for the 24-25 season beginning in October.
