More than 50 people enjoyed a great day of golf in beautiful weather conditions.
Townies won the day in a tight contest.
Winners were Doug Cameron and Simon Withers, r/u Joe and Judy Kararkai, 3rd Paul McVicor and Joel Bilney; 4th Chris Kelly and Shane McLean.
Last Wednesday's winner was Paul McVicor, r/u Gail Browne; NTP Beau Walliss.
Friday's winner was Joe Nicholls, r/u Judy Karakai, ball winners Steve Senini and Wayne Crew and putting Joe Karakai.
Saturday's winner was Jeff Stein, r/u Maria McDonnell, putting Joe Nicholls and ball winners were Geoff Tait and Spike Salter.

Wednesday was Ladies Monthly Medal Stroke and the winner on net 71 was Denise Boland, r/u Kerrie McLennan net 74.

Sunday was a two-person Ambrose - Go Fish competition, won by James Mitchell and Michael Pitt with 64.75, r/u Denise Boland and Laurie Blackmore with 66.25.
NTPs: 5th Ian Taylor, 7th David Hercus, 10th Michael Pitt, 13th Laurie Blackmore, 15th (second shot) Laurie Blackmore and 16th Denise Boland.
On Sunday, October 5, the winner of the Stableford Medley was Luke Keating with 37 points, on c/b to Campbell Rowan.
Ball comp: Zac Walsh, Hunter Dellar and Roxanne McGee.
NTPs: 5th Barry Roe, 7th Rodney Dowling, 10th Daz Keating,13th Lee Rowan, 15th second shot Ian Taylor and 16th Shane Foster.
Jerilderie hosted the Southern Riverina Vets golf on Monday.

Stableford was played and John Taylor from Finley, on 40 points, took the A-grade trophy.
Malcolm Hart from Club Tocumwal was runner-up on 37 points.
Steve Senini from Berrigan, on 42 points, claimed B-grade, with Greg Collier from Jerilderie on 39 points as runner-up.
Brian Taylor from Cobram Barooga took C-grade after countback on 38 points, with John Walker from Berrigan, also with 38 points, runner-up.
No A-grade player could find the green for their NTP.
B-grade was claimed by Steven Grant (Club Tocumwal), C-grade went to Brian Nowell (Cobram Barooga), and All Grades went to Tony Monahan (Cobram Barooga).
Ball competition winners were players who had 31 stableford points or better.

It was a big week with ideal spring weather and packed fields.
Monday was medley stableford won by Kaye Stevenson 40 points, r/u Locky Stevenson 39 c/b.
Tuesday was Star Medal playoff, winner Denise Baldwin 73, r/u Nat Beard 75.
The Wednesday men’s comp was on the Captain’s course.

On Sunday, the women played their monthly medal on the Captain’s course.
Winner was Nat Beard 38, r/u Christine Hadland 37.
Sunday afternoon had 16 juniors competed in their weekly comp.
Non-handicap winner Ollie East 25 points; handicap Hunter McMaster 15.
Finley
Wednesday last week, our ladies played stableford.
The winner was Hannah Kelly with 40 points.
Ball competition winners were Helen Wastle, 38 points, and Anne Harding, 37 points.

In the men’s stableford competition, the winner was Matt Daniel with 38 points on C/B.
Ball winners were John Taylor, 38 points, and James Braybon, 33 points.
NTP on 18th was also Matt Daniel.
In the 9-Hole Thursday competition, the winner was John Taylor with 17 points on C/B.
Ball winners were Matt Daniel, 17 points, and a visitor from Bundaberg, Ken Thompson, with 15 points.
Matt Daniel was also presented with an ‘Eagle Badge’ for his three on the 9th hole.
There was no competition golf on the weekend, due to the coring of the greens.

The Western Riverina District Golf Association held its championships at Deniliquin over the weekend, and Finley was well represented with six members playing over both days.
On Saturday, in the 4 Ball Stroke Event, Sharon Pyle and Mary Polkinghorne (80) were scratch runners-up.
On Sunday, in the Single Stroke Event, Ian Armer Jnr was scratch runner-up with 77, and Colin McNamara was net winner with a 68 net.
