Toc’s tight tussle with Deni

Our last quarter had us rallying, and although we didn’t come away with the win, we are proud of our game.

An awesome game; fast-paced, with high intensity from the first whistle.

There were sharp passes, quick transitions and solid defence.

We stayed focused and lifted each other through until the end.

C-grade: Tocumwal 26 def by Deniliquin 59.

A better game than last week.

Our drives and decision making helped bring the ball down easier.

Great defensive pressure, but unfortunately, their goalers didn’t miss.

C-reserve: Tocumwal 22 def by Deniliquin 41.

A great start to the game had us out in front.

Deni came out stronger in the second quarter and unfortunately got the jump on us, we were unable to chase them down. Great hard game.

Under-17s: Tocumwal 18 def by Deniliquin 54.

Great to see the girls come out with a positive team attitude, and keep it right until the final whistle.

Voices were loud and encouraging. We kept Deni’s goals down in the last quarter.

Under-15s: Tocumwal 27 def by Deniliquin 29.

What a game, we had a slow start and came back after being seven goals down to eventually go down by only two goals.

It shows true determination and grit. I’m proud of you all!

An amazing game today. You worked hard all game and came away with the win.

The mini’s started out strong, with Whilloe Braybon making her debut after being out with an injury.

It was a cold game with passes letting us down, but with team spirit and encouragement from the bench, the girls worked hard to turn it around.
