After a couple of weeks off with the general and local byes, the older boys in the reserves side had a good opportunity to rest some sore bodies and reset for the run home.
With this in mind, the pre-game mood was high in enthusiasm.
Despite a few late changes, the boys ran out with high expectations and a desire to put in a strong four quarter effort.
With club legend Corey Herezo playing his 250th reserves game for the Bloods, there was plenty to play for.
A big shout to the Cobram reserves who showed their respect for Herezo by cheering him on as he led the team onto the ground.
The Cobram Tigers, however, were keen to show their superiority early.
They started the game stronger than the Bloods, with a four goal to one first term.
Their forward line got on top, creating plenty of space on the big ground and the mids showed great skill to deliver accurately and quickly to get the scoreboard ticking over.
Despite great pressure around the footy from Jesse and Liam Colston, Glyn Matters and Jack Gowty around the middle, the Tigers were able to maintain their winning form throughout the game running out 87 point winners.
Special mentions to Herezo who, in his milestone game, was able to have a significant impact in the ruck and around the ground.
Well done also to Josh Booth who managed to snag a great goal after the final siren to end the game on a high.
