Last Friday night the team started their T20 games against the powerhouse of Leagues Club but tried hard in their first hit out for the year.
Coly 2nd grade started the season with an impressive 183 run shellacking of Coro at home.
Led by impressive half centuries from Vik Sidhu (59) and young gun Andy Fattore (55) with handy contributions from Ryan Oneill (48) &and Sam Casey (39 - 5 sixes and 2 boundaries), Coly amassed 7/258 from 40 overs.
With the ball, Fattore backed up his powerful batting to take 5/14 from 4 overs with Ruben McKenzie snaring 2 late wickets.
In 1st grade, the Coleambally Burge contingent was returned to the field for the first time in 10 years.
A hamstring was torn, a duck was made, catches were dropped and plenty of fun was to be had.
Exies batted and bowled well in partnerships to beat Leeton by 45 runs.
Milliken Shield was postponed but will hopefully be played this Sunday.
The Woolworths Cricket Blast program will be starting this Saturday, November 1 and will run for six weeks before breaking over Christmas and starting back up in the year again.
The program will be run by Phil Burge again this year.
