Tuesday’s division one midweek pennant action went the journey with two matches decided on the final ends, while Tatura-Hill Top’s convincing 16-70 to 0-40 defeat of Shepparton Golf proved the outlier.
Jason Carter marked his return to the line-up with a 26-shot victory, but it was a harder graft in the rinks surrounding him as Mark Bentley (19-18) and Rod Madill’s four’s (18-5) tied the bow on the Bulldogs’ maiden win of the season.
It would prove the only game decided by more than nine shots.
Shepparton Park and Seymour shared the spoils on the latter’s home green, tied up 55 shots apiece to produce the first draw of the season.
Seymour skips Max Hammond (25-15) and Dale Sellick (19-12) clinched two rinks to edge the Parkers on points, but Ross Higgins’ quartet reversed the fortunes of the previous week with a game-tying 28-11 victory.

Across town, Nagambie’s positive start to life in the Harling Shield continued with a thrilling one-shot win over Seymour VRI.
Two rinks couldn’t be split with Nagambie skips Rob Page (20-20) and William Tennant (21-21) locking up with Seymour’s Joseph Purcell and Michael Szczykulski respectively.
Nagambie’s Gary Ryan made the breakthrough, his single shot on the 21st and final end clinching a 14-64 to 2-63 win, one that leaves the division one newcomer 2-0 and on top of the ladder.
It’s joined by Tallygaroopna, which despite getting only one rink up managed to unseat Euroa by nine shots.
