Finley can be very proud of some of the achievements of the younger members in our community.
They continue to work hard and do their best in academic and sporting arenas at all times.
The Finley High School girls’ squash team is another example.
The girls were competing in the Combined High Schools Championships and excelled in a match against South Grafton High School in Dunedoo on July 29 with a 4-0 win.
The team - consisting of Bella Rourke, Jasmine Burke, Sienna Burke, Milena Sneddon and reserve Piper Pyle - will now go on to play in the final four in the state in Sydney later this month.
Congratulations and best of luck in the finals girls.

Rumour has it that Craig Matheson might have to upgrade his chocolate cake cooking skills if he is to retain his record of winning the men’s division at the Finley Show.
School teacher Brett Murphy, who is not known for his prowess in this division, managed to come in second to Craig at the weekend, despite going undercover with Craig’s daughter last year to procure the secret recipe.
