Greater Shepparton’s next batch of sporting heroes is set to be anointed.

Next Friday, 11 new members will be inducted into the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame, with an event to be held at Shepparton Art Museum to commemorate their achievements.

To mark the occasion, Shepparton News, in conjunction with Greater Shepparton City Council, has delivered a 20-page feature available in next Friday’s print edition.

It’s filled with in-depth profile stories detailing each new member’s rise from the Goulburn Valley to the state, national and international stage.

From McEwen Reserve to the FIFA World Cup.

Kialla Park Reserve to the MCG.

Local paddocks to the Olympic Games.

Each inductee has a unique story linking back to the region, starting at the grassroots level and rising to the pinnacle of sporting excellence.

The latest 11 members will join a heralded, 75-strong crew of champions who have been immortalised through induction to the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame since its introduction.

These individuals’ dedication and perseverance within the sporting realm have been recognised and honoured and their legacies will be remembered long into the future.
