The Berrigan Saints were up against a worthy opponent when they took on another fellow top eight side, the Tungamah Bears.

The Saints started red-hot as they dominated the first quarter, scoring at will.
In the second quarter, Tungamah worked their way back into the game and at the half-time break the two sides were only separated by a singular goal.
The third quarter bought on a stalemate as neither side could pull away.
In the end, the game finished as a disappointing loss for the Saints as Tungamah kicked a few goals late in the game to secure their win.
Final score: Berrigan 9.12 (66) def by Tungamah 13.13 (91).
There were many great efforts by the Saints, though.
Liam Brown had his best game of the year playing as a crumbing forward. ‘Browny’ worked hard to be front and centre of packs and ended the day with three terrific goals.
Jake Dalgliesh was terrific this week, once again being a critical intercept marker down back for the Saints.
Lochie Conboy has become a regular fixture in these write-ups as his midfield dominance continues to impress.
It is a tough loss to swallow for the Saints, which brings them to six wins and four losses for the season.
Reserves
A tough day for the Berrigan reserves this week as they took on the reigning premiers Tungamah with a depleted squad.
The Saints battled hard all game, but Tungamah ultimately got the win and four points.
Alex Park was tremendous for the Saints as his run and carry, and his pack marking were extremely valuable for the Saints.
Kyle Hawker was impressive in an under siege backline, positioning himself well to take intercept marks and spoils all game.
Mick Fiore backed up last week’s performance with another great one. He was thrust into the midfield and worked hard all day to slow down his opponents.
The Saints will look to improve next week as they play Tocumwal at home.

Thirds
A tough loss this week against a good side.
The boys battled hard all game and never gave in.
Let it sting, but come back next week and go again.

Fourths
The youngest Saints lined up against another top eight team for the 2024 grand final re-match.
Tungamah were up and about early, kicking the first three goals, and the contest was on until half-time.
The young Saints dug deep and lifted after an inspirational pep talk from the coach, and simply ran rampant in the second half, coming away with a strong win.
Final score: Berrigan 13.7 (85) def Tungamah 4.0 (24).
Jordan Swann was best on ground, busting the game open and kicking six goals.
Nick Arnold again showed what a polished all-round player looks like.
Jack Phillips played another sensational game and Ollie Batten continued to lead in the backline.
Berrigan's sportsmanship on-and-off the field continues to stay classy.
