Blighty entered the match with high spirits and determination, ready to give their all on the court.
However, Berrigan demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, taking an early lead and maintaining it throughout the game.
Huge credit to Berrigan junior player Layla Towler who stepped on the court within minutes of the game starting due to an injury, and absolutely turned it on.
Thanks also to Jorja Withers for guiding Layla in the ring throughout the match.
The Saints girls worked beautifully in the goal ring keeping us in the lead all game.
The Berrigan defensive end and midcourt played the game they know, staying composed and getting multiple intercepts that allowed us to score off their efforts.
It was all around a solid effort for the Saints and we will continue to develop each week.

Blighty faced a challenging match against Berrigan, resulting in a disappointing loss.
Despite their efforts, Berrigan’s team proved to be formidable opponents, securing victory.
Berrigan celebrated a well-deserved win.
The team changed some player positions from previous weeks and it paid off, resulting in smoother gameplay and a stronger overall performance.
A standout in defence, the Saints’ Jodi Hawes demonstrated exceptional skill, blocked several plays and maintained pressure on the opposing team.
Grace Veenstra also shined in defence for Berrigan, reading the play and positioning herself perfectly for rebounds.
In the Saints’ attacking end, Charlie Magill’s movements within the ring and goals were crucial in securing our win.

Saturday was one of Blighty’s best games yet. Unfortunately, the score didn’t reflect the effort the team put in.
The Blighty girls used their skills from training to create space and move the ball seamlessly down the court.
But for Berrigan, Sam Henderson and Meg Brooks worked the ring hard and scored some great goals.
Saints Gracie Lagudi and Mia Coldwell kept that continuous flow through the midcourt and kept the pressure on, while Rachael Arnold and Gen Taylor were impeccable in defence.
With quick hands pulling in magnificent intercepts, they effectively shut down opportunities for Blighty’s shooters to score.
It was high-intensity netball from start to finish.

It was back-to-back wins for the Saints again at home this week.
Blighty’s strongest quarter was in the third, but it was too late to get in front of the Berrigan side.
Berrigan were down a few key players, but stepped up this week and proved their mettle against Blighty.
Saints Gracie Rice and Leticia Hague shut down goals effectively in defence, while Chloe Hudson, Fiona James and Judy Cakebread smashed out the midcourt. Judy was often flying high for some spectacular intercepts.
Erica Hammond and Tamara Holley shot beautifully in the ring for the winning side, which welcomed Caitlin Spunner for her debut game.
It was an amazing game to watch.

Blighty met a tough opponent in Berrigan on Saturday.
The Redeyes struggled to match the tall outfit and accurate shooters.
However some lovely passages of play in attack created by Ruby Caruso feeding to Ash Charlton saw some lovely scoring shots on the board for the Redeyes.
Dakota McKenzie battled hard despite being unwell during the week and pushed the Redeyes forward, and Catie Michael stepped up from u15s and was placed in the goal ring showing great discipline and being strong in attack.
The Berrigan girls left nothing in the tank this week, taking intercepts left, right and centre.
The goals were on fire, and the hard work the Saints put in at training is really paying off. There were absolutely beautiful passages of play all game.

Berrigan’s Sophia-Ruby Morgan stepped up to under-15s again for a game this week and moved and shot goals beautifully.
Rosie Phillips and Bella Ward’s intercepts and defence made the game absolutely incredible to watch.
For Blighty Eliza Weir delivered great communication down the court and kept a smile on her face the whole time.
Milly Hanmer swapped ends this weekend and dominated in shooter.
Overall, the girls had a great game and all played well.

The Saints team fought strongly against Blighty, showing great effort and determination despite not winning.
Sophia-Ruby Morgan and Faith Nepomuceno played exceptional defence, making it hard for Blighty to score. Their pressure and teamwork forced many mistakes from the opposing team.
Chelsea Kennedy made an impact for the Saints’ attack. Her smart play opened the court, creating chances and keeping Blighty’s defence busy.
Every player gave their best, making it tough for Blighty to secure their win.
Blighty put in a solid team effort with all players contributing to be strong in both defence and attack.
Kaydnce Sibraa demonstrated her versatility playing both midcourt and deep in defence to support the ever-reliable Lilly Petersen.
Ellie Miller stepped in as another shooting option teaming with Ella Charlton.
Blighty welcomed under-11s players Alice Petersen and Peggy McKenzie to debut and gain experience as future players.

The little Saints took on Blighty with passion and determination, and it paid off with our best game for the season so far.
Lacey Morgan shot her first goal, and Ella Swann racked up another one.
The defenders put on an intercept clinic, resulting in a lot of turnovers.
The Blighty girls’ skills were also on full display this week, having one of their best games yet.
Every single one of the girls played an amazing game displaying all their team work at every end of the court.
Myah Gazzara’s defence was on point creating turnovers every quarter and putting what we worked on at training into the game.
Keira Lankow and Poppy Armytage helped bring the ball down the court consistently, always creating space down the court.
