Today we went up against third placed Dookie, and we put it up to them the whole game.
It was a very physical game and the girls stayed strong all game.
We played an awesome game. The end result wasn’t what we wanted, going down by seven goals, but the girls are doing everything the coach asked them to do and keep getting better every week.

Cold conditions made it difficult to stick to normal passages of play, however the ladies adapted well.
Plenty of second and third efforts being the difference at the end of the last term.
There was great control by the attackers, supported by the defenders, when the minutes were ticking down, to ensure we walked away with the chocolates.
Keep up the momentum Saints!

A very even hit out in cold conditions, in keeping up with last week’s efforts an even 10 goals a piece at the first break.
Adjusting to wind and a different pace to our usual game in the second let Dookie nudge a two goal lead at the main break.
To their credit, the young and polished side regrouped and continued to work on the little things and ensuring they did them well including the often spoke.
One per cent efforts can be a game changer at the final whistle, and through control and lovely passages of play the young Saints were able to capitalise on turnovers and do just that.
There was great work through the middle from Lucy Pyle, Rosie Phillips and Charlie Magill who complemented each other beautifully to help stop the flow into Dookie’s shooters.
Fantastic effort from Princess Arcasitas, who was thrown into the goal ring with a minute’s notice. She was supported nicely by Maiser Armer who rarely misses.

Our under-15s girl braved the freezing cold and lined up against a strong Dookie side.
Despite a fairly strong start we just couldn’t match them on all thirds of the court.
There were some displays of great pressure in defence which got us a few turnovers and some good movement in the goal ring.
Unfortunately, Dookie’s defenders had our measure.

The girls played an unreal game. They all played their roles amazingly.
