Rochester is now a perfect 5-0 in the Goulburn Murray Cricket Women’s competition after picking up a 43-run win over Echuca on Sunday.

At Echuca’s temporary home of Tongala Recreation Reserve, Rochester put together a composed batting innings, before bowling out the host in under 30 overs.

Rochy was in early trouble after being sent in, as Echuca had both openers quickly.
From 2-8, Cadence Major entered the game and put in a composed shift in the middle, making 29 from her 35 balls before retiring not out.

Alice Caldow provided useful support, also retiring with 28.
Rochy added 59 between the third and fourth wickets, putting the side in a good position at 4-83.

Both Caldow and Major eventually returned to the crease late in the innings, Caldow improving to 37 and Major finishing 31 not out as Rochy posted 7-144.
After six wickets last week, Echuca captain Jessica Cox was at it again, taking another three wickets for 20 as Echuca’s bowling leader.

The Echuca chase had some bright spots, but the Rochester bowlers kept the scoring rate down and the wickets flowing.
Echuca was 3-15 after losing both openers and its number four early on.

Good retired the following over, leaving two new batters at the crease, and Rochester capitalised on the opening, reeling off the final six wickets for 34 runs.
Recalled for a final stand, Good finished with a team-high 23 as Echuca was bowled out for 101.
Alyssa Braithwaite was clinical for Rochester, taking 3-15, while Sarah Taylor (2-11) and Cadence Major (2-3) were the other wicket takers.
Rochester hosts Moama next Sunday.
BLU vs Moama
Bamawm-Lockington United couldn’t keep up with Moama in round seven.
Moama leaned on Delaney (36 from 32) and Isla Laffy (23 from 22) in a balanced batting effort, posting 7-186 from its 35 overs.
Ruby Brentnall was the bowling leader for the Lions, taking 2-34, while Amy Fitzgerald, Aurelia Kemp, Bree Styles and Shae Christie also took wickets.
BLU’s chase struggled to build momentum.
Fitzgerald was the only standout with the bat, making 27 from 48 balls, as the Lions were dismissed for 91.
Delaney Laffy followed up her batting effort by taking 2-10, while Jordan Dalziel (2-13) also struck twice.
