Thankfully for the Saints, coming off a bye rejuvenated the side which was ready to take on a worthy opponent in Picola.
The Saints and Picola put on terrific performances for the many supporters, going back and forth all game.
The Saints held off a last effort push by Picola and walked away winning by a six point margin.
Zeke Carruthers was on fire down back for the Saints, spoiling any mark that his opponent tried to take.
Also performing well down back was Tom Whelan, who played arguably his best game for the year, showing composure at crucial points.
Lochie Conboy was back to his best, gathering disposals in the middle and winning important clearances.
Mason Peters was excellent for the Saints, using his accurate kicking and large running tank to will the Saints forward.
The goal scorers were well balanced this week with Keith Tallent leading the way with three goals and Griffin Surrey, Rory Bartlett and Lochie Schifferle all scoring two each. Mitch Reilly also found himself on the end of a goal.
A terrific win by the Seniors bringing them to an impressive 5 wins 2 losses record.

The Berrigan Saints were on fire this week, beating a very strong Picola United outfit.
James Ware had an unreal game up forward. Providing great leads and a safe pair of hands, he found himself on the end of three goals for the day.
Liam Brown had an exceptional game back after a few weeks off from injury, dominating with his pace and clean skills.
Father-son duo Jeremy and Carson Way played a terrific game with many link up plays between the two of them.
Henry Zorzer added to his already impressive season with another great performance.
