Tomorrow’s round of semi finals at Echuca sees first on the ladder from the home and away season play second in their first finals hit-out.
The winner will be through to the grand final, while the loser gets a second chance next weekend in a preliminary final.
Sunday’s semi finals at Numurkah will see the winners of last week’s two elimination final rounds play each other.
The winner will go through to next week’s preliminary final, while the losing team is eliminated.
The Deniliquin Rams fourths start things off on the football field tomorrow from 9.15am at Echuca, against Cobram.
Both sides have the opportunity to gain immediate qualification to the Murray League grand final at Moama in two weeks.
The two sides finished first and second on the ladder respectively.
The Rams’ only loss all season was against Cobram in round 11, by just two points - 3.1 (19) to 3.3 (21).
It was the only time the team played against each other this season.
The youngest Rams footballers in finals will be keen to avenge the round 11 result and secure their place in the fourths Murray League grand final.
On Sunday, at Numurkah, the Rams under-17s netballers continue their premiership quest on the courts from 9.30am against Tongala.
The Rams under-17s finished third in the home and away season and are coming off a 10 goal elimination final win - 48 to 38 at home over Finley last Saturday.
Tongala finished fifth on the ladder and also had a 10 goal elimination final win, 41 to 31, over Cobram last Sunday.
The Rams will be looking to replicate the result from the one encounter between the two sides this season, in round seven. Deni claimed a five goal win in that game.
The Rams thirds footballers also play Sunday, against Mulwala from 10.30am.
The Rams finished fourth at the end of their home and away season, enjoying a 17 point win over Tongala, 6.10 (46) to 4.5 (29), at Congupna last Sunday.
Mulwala finished third on the ladder and are coming off a comprehensive 43 point win over Echuca United on Saturday at Deniliquin.
The Rams will be looking to reverse the results of their past two matches against Mulwala this season.
Deni suffered a 37 point loss in Deni in round four, and a 13 point loss in Mulwala in round 13.
