As Diggers were higher on the ladder by one bonus point, they claimed the trophy.
On Saturday, the Nomads were rolled for 81 against Hanwood. Sanil Babu (32) and Jake Breed (23) were the only two to reach double figures.
In reply, Hanwood cruised to victory in the 21st over. However, with an updated ladder, Coly finished as the minor premiers and play-off in the major semi-final against Leagues Club this Saturday.
The Coleambally contingent of Exies 1st grade had to win against Coro to make the final four. After having Coro 7/86, they ended up having to chase 150.
At 3/10, the team was in dire straits, however a strong 56 run partnership between Alistair Burge and David Caldow had the team on track for a win and a bonus point to make the finals.
However, Caldow was run out at the non-striker’s end for 31 and shortly after Burge fell for 50. The team then faulted to be all out for 106.
Third grade have continued their consistent season with a resounding eight wicket win against Coro. Bowling first, Coly shared the wickets around and reduced their extras to roll Coro for 51 at Exies No.1.
In reply, Coly scored freely through the quick running between the wickets of Harvey Pound (12 n.o.) and Andy Fattore (28 n.o.).
Best of luck to the team which will play an elimination final against Hanwood at Hanwood on Friday night.
The Creet Cup Challenge is still on track to be played at Hay on Sunday, March 8.
