In a battle of the heavyweights on Thursday evening, Paul Glanvill defeated Rick Bradbury 21-11 to win the Neville Burke men’s handicap singles.

Bradbury got off to a solid start but Glanvill made the most of some early luck to push out to a lead that he held for the rest of the match.
The Betty Cobb women’s handicap final was played on the same day.
Gleyns McKay was too strong for Janice Graham, winning 21-5.
It was a great effort from Graham to make the final and she certainly did herself proud.
The first rounds of the Men’s Pairs championships were played on Sunday.
Matt Hansen and Rick Bradbury have earned a spot in the final and will now wait to see their opponent.
Jason Milich and Paul Glanvill will play Neville Burke and Graeme Clements, with the winners to play Garry Seamer and Roger Reynoldson, who had a solid first round win.
