Only two sides will be in action in the opening weekend, with the Deniliquin Rams travelling to Echuca at the Echuca South Recreation Reserve.
Finley supporters will have to wait one more week to see their side in action, with the Cats set to launch their season on Good Friday when they meet Deniliquin under lights in Deniliquin.
The MFNL season has been significantly reshaped following Barooga’s departure to the Picola District League before Christmas.
An 11‑team competition will operate in Murray this year, meaning one club will sit out each round.
The season expands to 20 rounds, up from 18 in 2025, with every club receiving two byes and still playing 18 matches overall.
Other Easter weekend games will include Cobram who host Numurkah on Easter Saturday, where the reigning premiers will unfurl their 2025 flag.
