It was another beautiful day for netball and the team was pumped after the amazing last half the previous week against Barooga.
It was an awesome moment to give Charlotte Fleming her debut in A-grade, and she works so well in the goaling circle, showing the club has some amazing juniors coming up.
Another slow start was the difference again, but the group responded to all the changes that were made and chipped away at the lead each quarter.
They never dropped their heads, and the positive vibes from every player were a credit to them all.
The Cats again just fell short of a win, going down by four goals, but this group will definitely have a win coming if they continue to play and back each other the way they do.
Let’s have another great week on the training track to come out firing against Deni and get that win.

A great win by the team today, with a strong start that gave the team something to build on each quarter.
A full team effort with standout performances by two players at both ends of the court.
Best on court went to Megan Vallance who played her role in GD perfectly, with her defensive pressure forcing multiple turnovers.
The other award went to ever-reliable GS Paula Gowans with her experience and dominance in the ring all while directing the attack end.
C-reserve: Finley 36 def Numurkah 16.
A game well played with skills learnt at training paying off when put to use on the court.
Everyone is doing their part to have the team come away with the win, from one end of the court to the other.
Best on court went to Andrea Dickins for taking on coaching feedback and putting it into play. The coach’s award went to Teliha Pyle for her efforts in defence.
Under-17s: Finley 57 def Numurkah 32.
Finley came out strong, setting the tone early.
Despite a few errors that let Numurkah close the gap, the young Cats pulled away after half-time, capitalising on turnovers and converting them into goals.
The pressure, intensity, versatility and teamwork were unwavering, earning them a well-deserved win and moving the Cats to fifth on the ladder.

Under-15s: Finley 39 def Numurkah 27.
The contest against Numurkah gave the 15s a chance to demonstrate some really good passages of play through the mid-court.
In the first quarter the team got caught starting behind the player, but after a quick intermission reset, the second quarter saw a focus on starting forward and leading forward, creating turnovers.
Everyone's commitment to intercepts was the key to success.

Under 13s: Finley 15 def by Numurkah 31.
This was one of the best performances for the under-13s. The determination from all the girls was amazing, and helped them play a competitive game especially with some playing in new positions.
Awards went to Matilda Marshall for her amazing shooting, and Molly Crowley for her continued fight for the ball and her sportsmanship.
Under-11s: Not scored.
The young players are slowly finding their feet as a team and showing their training skills on court.
The coaches are very proud of their efforts and the dedication they have to their Saturday games.
