With the table so congested, the clash on November 25 was an important one for both sides heading into the halfway point of the campaign.
There were big results on both sides, but it was Ky that got the best of two rinks to walk away victorious, 14-60 to 2-51.
Joe Greco won by eight shots, 23-15, over Stanhope’s Peter Myers, while Noel Reddrop scored the same margin against Neville Cowie 25-17.
Jennifer Crilly claimed rink points for Stanhope in the remaining contest, getting up 19-12.
Sitting on 62 points, Ky has a useful advantage over the closest chaser Deniliquin (49) but also has work to do if it wants to catch Moama (103) or Echuca (82)
Stanhope (48) sits just one point out of the finals.
Next week, Kyabram will host Deniliquin in what will be another crucial fixture for both sides, while Stanhope will look to pick up points against the lower-table Rochester.
