The Towners came out in the second quarter with a lot more intensity, coming up with some great defensive pressure and in attack, there was more movement, with Abbie Ellis in her 50th A-Grade game stepping up in goals converted many of her shots.
Out of the half-time break the Towners continued their good form from the second quarter and scored the first two goals of the quarter. But from there Shepp East lifted its defensive pressure and intensity all over the court to get on top of Violet Town to gain the momentum back and continued to push forward and push the lead out of Violet Town’s touch.
Shepp East just too good for the Towners.

B-Grade
Violet Town to start with lots of talk and voice, with everyone playing a great team game working well together.
The Towners put lots of pressure on the Shepp East side with hands over every pass and shot.
In the second half Shepp East lifted the intensity and Violet Town lost their voice on court, but continued to work hard in defence putting the pressure on Shepp East, but it wasn’t enough.
Violet Town continued to fight hard until the end and finished with good last quarter.

C-Grade
Violet Town started well, not allowing to Shepp East from scoring easily off their first centre pass.
In wet conditions the Towners defensively worked hard and were able to come up with many rebounds.
Violet Town had some great passages of play and had to work hard in attack to get it to their attacking end, but Violet Town never gave up and continued to do it with a smile on their faces.
Violet Town started the second half of the match strongly with some good passages of play and settled into the positional changes made and finished off the match with some goals.

15 & Under
Violet Town started well but just could capitalise on the scoreboard.
The Towners’ defensive pressure on Shepp East all the way down the court was outstanding, not making it easy for Shepp East to find their shooters, but once they did, they were unstoppable as their shooters were very accurate.
Violet Town continued to lift throughout the game and had some great passages for play down the court.
Defensively the Towners continued to work hard to put the pressure on, but unfortunately Shepp East were too good.
Overall, a great game and much-improved performance from the first time the teams played earlier in the year, well done girls.

13 & Under
Violet Town had a slow start to the game with Shepp East putting the pressure on the Towners from the start.
Shepp East was able to convert all its intercepts into goals with accurate shooting.
Violet Town worked hard in defence and did come up with some great intercepts and loose-ball gets too, but unfortunately were unable to get it through the goals.
It wasn’t Violet Town’s Day with the older and more experienced Shepp East controlling the game from start to finish.
It was a great game by Violet Town, which didn’t give up until the final whistle.
