Coming off back-to-back wins to open the season, the Bloods will line up at Deakin Reserve hoping to hand the Tigers their first loss of the season and improve their own record to 3-0 for a second season running.
Though Karramomus had the measure of CPStB in last season’s A-grade T20 grand final, the Bloods haven’t defeated the Tigers in the shield since February 2018.
“They’re a class side,” Karramomus captain Nathan Jones said post-game last week.
“You have to be on from ball one.”
In the final one-day clash of 2026, a battle of the bat looms between the premiership hopefuls.
Bloods opener Mitch McGrath looms large on the back of unbeaten scores of 120 and 99, his last dig propelling Karramomus to a convincing eight-wicket win.
But Tigers danger man Tyler Larkin’s opening innings yielded a 74-run stand that showed he’ll be a handful again in season 2026-27.
Although Jones said his side would be wary, its approach wouldn’t change.
“Tyler Larkin made a few runs (last week) – any side that has a guy like that in it is dangerous,” Jones said.
“We’ll come in with a similar mindset and attitude; we’re young, we’re enthusiastic and if we bring the energy we generally play pretty good cricket.”
“That’ll be no different this Saturday and we’ll strive to get the win.”
Kyabram’s premiership defence has started in brilliant fashion, notching 240 and 148-run wins to send a stern warning to the rest of the competition.
The Redbacks have a sterner test on their hands at home this week, facing a Tatura outfit keen to rebound from round two’s Kilmartin Shield defeat to Karramomus and notch its first win of the campaign.
Old Students return from the bye and host Mooroopna at Kialla, with the visitors also in the marking for a breakthrough victory after faltering in a high-scoring encounter against Numurkah.
The Blues turn their attention to Pine Lodge at Lemnos Recreation Reserve, while Katandra has the bye.
