With a few key players out, we struggled to retain our momentum.
Bec Ware and Layla Towler stepped up and filled the shoes of our two injured shooters, who worked extremely hard in the goal ring.
Savannah Wilson once again played a phenomenal game in defence, reading the play and getting multiple intercepts.
Overall, Waaia was the better side on the day and won the match.

We had a tough game against a strong team.
Our defenders, Grace Veenstra and Jodi Hawes faced some much taller players but didn’t back down.
They gave it their all from start to finish, making it hard for the other team to score.
We made a few changes during the game to try and mix things up.
Chantelle Henderson came into the attack and did a great job opening up the court.
Her quick movements helped bring some flow to our play, making it easier to get the ball down the court.
It was a tough game, but everyone worked really hard and showed great team spirit.
We’re proud of the effort everyone put in and are ready to take what we learned into the next game.

It was truly a defensive game against Waaia with our mini marvels Chantelle Henderson and Rach Arnold in the ring.
Though much shorter than Waaia’s attackers, alongside Kallee Chesshire, the girls provided immense pressure and made some fantastic intercepts.
It is no wonder they took out all the awards today.

The Saints had a brilliant game on Saturday and the score does not reflect the match.
Chloe was an absolute gun in the ring and through the midcourt, displaying some impressive gameplay.
Erica played a very strong defensive game and Fiona provided immaculate support in the centre.
We also welcomed back Mikeala McQueen back in defence, complementing the team wonderfully.
It is truly enjoyable to watch these ladies each week and we can’t wait for next week.

Another well-deserved win to add to the board and it feels amazing.
Our defence training has really paid off.
Faith Nepomuceno was a star, putting our defensive tactics into play and breaking up the other team’s rhythm.
Larni Gorman had some personal goals to work on during the week, and she nailed them.
You could see her confidence and focus all over the court.
Sophia Ruby-Morgan was on fire in the ring, hitting every shot, rebounding, and moving with accuracy.
She made it look effortless and kept our score climbing. All in all, it was a fantastic team effort.
