Jerilderie made the trip to Rennie for round three of the Picola and District football season on Saturday, and it was a fierce battle from the first bounce.

Mitch Conlan continued his form from last week, providing a strong focal point up forward, while Blair Henery provided plenty of drive from the wing.
Going into the second term, the Demons started to play some cleaner passages of play to take a two goal lead into the main break.
David Gregory was a live wire up forward, kicking two for the term, and Jye Holcombe also had a great game with his hard attack on the ball.
After the main break, Rennie regrouped and the third term was an even battle.
Young Brad Aylett and Rory Knight, in their second senior games, are growing in confidence and showed great skills and determination.
Lachie Leeds used his pace and strong marking skills to drive the ball forward at every opportunity.
The final term saw the Demons add another three goals to run out 22 point winners.

Going to Rennie was always going to be a challenge with several players unavailable due to work commitments.
The Demons stuck to the task, with several guys coming in for their first run for the season.
Unfortunately, Rennie was far fitter on the day, but our boys did manage to score a few goals which was pleasing.

Doug Ford proved to be a great inclusion and, with another run, could expect to play seniors.
James McRae was solid at centre half back, whilst Nick Baldwin’s run and pace gave the forwards several scoring opportunities.
Up forward, Jack Anthony and Harrison Curtin lead well all day, but in the end Rennie were too good and had a comfortable victory.

Under 17s:
With both sides struggling for numbers, both traded goal for goal in the first half.
The ball was ping-ponging back and forth with the forwards from both sides capitalising on the ball coming in quickly.
After half time, having no one to rotate through the bench, Rennie just had too many legs for the young Dees.

Zander and Cruz Nash and Travis Lawton played great four quarter games, with Jon Chen, Jason Ray, Tex Flack and Tyler Hall all having good games.

The young Demons started well in the first half, with some easy scores on the board.
Jackson Pitt started the goals ticking over, with Dan Eldridge continuing his run of good form.
James Winn is growing in confidence and starting to play some great football.
In the second half, it was encouraging to see the Demons start to work as a team.
The backline was ruthless, repelling many Rennie attacks, while the forwards shared the ball and scoring many goals.
